Placements24 seeks a skilled Architectural Technologist to join a progressive Durban studio. The role focuses on translating architectural concepts into buildable technical solutions and producing detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation for a range of projects.

You will collaborate with architects and engineers, conduct site visits, ensure compliance with building codes, and contribute to tender documentation.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Bachelors degree in Architectural Technology.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Architectural Technologist.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant architectural software.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building science.
• Excellent technical drawing and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed architectural drawings, plans, and technical documentation using CAD and BIM software.
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant building codes, regulations, and environmental standards.
• Liaise with engineers, contractors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues during design and construction.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to specifications.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documentation and contract administration.

This role focuses on the technical aspects of design and construction, translating architectural concepts into buildable solutions.
