Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Architectural Technologist for our Richards Bay office. You will translate designs into precise construction documents and ensure compliance with South African regulations.

Work with architects and project managers to deliver detailed drawings and specifications for diverse projects in KwaZulu-Natal. The role requires a National Diploma or Bachelor's in Architectural Technology and at least four years of experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor in Architectural Technology.
• 4+ years experience as an Architectural Technologist.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Strong knowledge of SA building regulations and construction methods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed technical drawings (plans, elevations, sections).
• Develop specifications and material schedules.
• Ensure compliance with building regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with architects to refine design details for constructability.

About the Role

You will work closely with architects and project managers to ensure that technical drawings and specifications meet all regulatory requirements and construction standards. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed technical drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and details, for construction.

• Collaborate with architects to review and refine design details for constructability and efficiency.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.

Requirements

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architectural Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Architectural Technologist.
• Proficiency in architectural CAD software, particularly AutoCAD and Revit .
• Strong understanding of building construction methods, materials, and South African building regulations.
• Excellent technical drawing and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and manage project documentation efficiently in Richards Bay .
