Job summary

Placements24 in Port Elizabeth is seeking a skilled Architectural Technologist to join our expanding design and build team. You will translate conceptual designs into detailed technical drawings and specifications for diverse construction projects, ensuring compliance with building regulations.

The ideal candidate has a National Diploma or B.Tech in Architectural Technology, SACAP registration as Pr.ArchTech, at least four years of post-qualification experience, and proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD

Qualifications

• National Diploma or B.Tech in Architectural Technology.
• SACAP registration as Professional Architectural Technologist (Pr.ArchTech).
• Minimum 4 years post-qualification experience in architectural design and documentation.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and SketchUp.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed architectural drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and construction details using CAD and BIM software.
• Ensure all designs comply with national building regulations, SANS codes, and client requirements.
• Coordinate with structural engineers, MEP engineers, and other consultants to integrate their designs into the architectural plans.
• Prepare specifications, schedules, and tender documentation.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure the built work conforms to the design intent.
• Assist in the preparation of planning applications and presentations.
