About the Role

Our client seeks an experienced and forward-thinking Lead Architectural Technologist to spearhead technical design and detailing for projects based in Centurion . This role demands a deep understanding of building technology, construction methods, and regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for translating conceptual designs into detailed construction-ready documentation, ensuring technical accuracy and feasibility. The position requires a proactive individual who can lead technical teams, collaborate effectively with consultants, and contribute to the overall success of complex architectural endeavors, fostering technical innovation and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive technical drawings and specifications for construction, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
• Lead and coordinate the work of architectural technologists and technicians on assigned projects.
• Liaise with structural engineers, MEP consultants, and other specialists to integrate systems seamlessly into the design.
• Oversee the production of BIM models and ensure their accuracy and completeness throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct technical reviews of designs and construction documents, identifying and resolving potential issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or National Diploma in Architectural Technology.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in architectural technology and construction detailing.
• Expertise in BIM software (Revit) and advanced CAD skills.
• In-depth knowledge of building codes, material science, and construction processes in South Africa.
