Placements24 is seeking an experienced Aquatics Manager to lead our aquatic facilities in Mossel Bay. You will be responsible for the overall management of swimming pools, safety, operations, programming, and staff supervision to ensure a secure, enjoyable aquatic environment for patrons.

Ideal candidates have a background in aquatics management, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing aquatic facilities or senior aquatics operations.
• Current lifeguard certification and CPR/First Aid are mandatory.
• Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
• Knowledge of pool operations, maintenance, and safety protocols.
• Excellent communication to foster a safe, positive Mossel Bay environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aquatic facility operations, ensuring safety and sanitation standards.
• Develop and manage aquatics programs, including lessons, fitness, and events.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise lifeguards and instructors.
• Manage the aquatics budget, control costs and maximise revenue.
• Ensure compliance with local to national aquatic regulations.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Aquatics Manager to lead their aquatic facilities in Mossel Bay. You will be responsible for the overall management of swimming pools, including safety, operations, programming, and staff supervision. This critical role ensures a safe, enjoyable, and well-maintained aquatic environment for all patrons, promoting a culture of excellence and safety in all aquatic activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of aquatic facility operations, ensuring adherence to safety and sanitation standards.


• Develop, implement, and manage a variety of aquatics programs, including swimming lessons, fitness classes, and competitive events.


• Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise aquatics staff, including lifeguards and instructors.


• Manage budgets for the aquatics department, controlling costs and maximizing revenue.


• Ensure compliance with all local, regional, and national aquatic regulations and best practices.

Requirements

• Previous experience in managing aquatic facilities or a senior role within aquatics operations.


• Current lifeguard certification and CPR/First Aid certifications are mandatory.
