Job summary

Project A Recruitment seeks a logistics-focused professional to coordinate the movement of goods from international suppliers through to receipt within the business. The role covers weekly airfreight shipments, import documentation, customs clearance, local and cross-border transport, and stock control.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience with Sage Evolution and the ability to maintain accurate import records, process invoices and packing lists, and keep stock records aligned with

Qualifications

• Experience in international airfreight and working with freight forwarders.
• Experience with customs clearance and import documentation.
• Ability to manage landed costs and import costings.
• Experience maintaining accurate import records and stock control.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate weekly incoming airfreight shipments from dispatch to delivery.
• Liaise with international suppliers, freight forwarders, clearing agents and transport providers.
• Track shipments and ETAs and resolve delays.
• Coordinate customs clearance and import documentation; arrange local and cross-border transport.
• Manage freight quotations and related documentation; resolve queries.
• Maintain accurate stock records and reconcile with system.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Sales, Warehouse and Finance to update stakeholders.

Job description

The successful candidate will coordinate the movement of goods from international suppliers through to receipt into the business, including weekly airfreight shipments, import documentation, customs clearance, local and cross-border transport, and stock control.

Strong Sage Evolution experience is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Logistics & Imports

Coordinate weekly incoming airfreight shipments from dispatch through to delivery Liaise with international suppliers, freight forwarders, clearing agents and transport providers Track shipments and ETAs and proactively resolve delays Coordinate customs clearance and import documentation Arrange local and cross-border transportation Manage freight quotations, costs and related documentation Resolve logistics, customs and delivery queries Import Administration

Stock Control

Maintain accurate import records and documentation Process commercial invoices, packing lists, freight documents and related paperwork Liaise with clearing agents regarding customs and import requirements Ensure imported goods are correctly processed and receipted Assist with import costings and follow up on outstanding shipments and documentation Stock Control

Internal Coordination

Maintain accurate stock records on Sage Evolution Process stock receipts and reconcile physical stock against system records Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies Assist with stock counts and inventory reconciliations Work closely with the warehouse to ensure accurate stock movements Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages or discrepancies Internal Coordination Work closely with Purchasing, Sales, Warehouse and Finance Keep stakeholders updated on shipment status and expected stock arrivals Provide logistics, import and stock-related reporting as required Ideal Candidate
