Job summary

OVK - Oos Vrystaat Kaap Bedryf Beperk is seeking a Procurement Assistant in Ladybrand to provide daily administrative support to the Purchasing Manager and Product Line Manager for agricultural inputs. You will manage purchase orders, supplier pricing, and claims processes with attention to accuracy and timely follow-up.

Ideal candidates have Matric and 2–3 years in purchasing or inventory, plus knowledge of AS400 and agricultural chemicals, fertilisers and seeds.

Qualifications

• Matric and relevant administrative, purchasing or stock qualifications are advantageous.
• Preferably 2–3 years of administrative experience in purchasing, stock, or agricultural inputs.
• Knowledge of AS400 and agricultural chemicals, fertilisers and seeds is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily administrative support to the Purchasing Manager and Product Line Manager: Agricultural Inputs.
• Create, check, document and follow up on purchase orders and outstanding orders for agricultural chemicals, fertiliser and seed.
• Maintain and verify supplier price lists, costs and selling prices on AS400 in accordance with approved authorisations.
• Register and follow up supplier, inventory, delivery and quality claims through to resolution.
• Track credit notes, returns, delivery notes and discrepancies between orders, receipts and invoices.
• Prepare and distribute inventory, price, claims and outstanding-order reports on time.
• Maintain product and supplier records, documentation and electronic files, including applicable product and registration information.
• Liaise with branches, the DC, suppliers and finance to resolve queries promptly.
• Escalate delays, price discrepancies and unresolved claims promptly.
