Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage agile software development projects using Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
• Facilitate all agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Work closely with Product Owners to ensure a clear understanding of product vision and backlog prioritization.
• Remove impediments for the development team to ensure smooth project progress.
• Track project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Coach and mentor team members on agile best practices and principles.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project status effectively.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality software increments on time and within budget.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and accountability within the team.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of agile processes and tools within the organization.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years specifically in agile software development environments.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification is required.
• Proven experience managing software development projects in the FinTech sector.
• Strong understanding of Agile principles, Scrum, Kanban, and other agile frameworks.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.Experience with agile project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Trello.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including developers, QAs, designers, and business analysts.
• Experience in managing distributed or remote teams is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Residency or willingness to relocate to Cape Town for an on-site role.
