Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Project Manager in Sandton to drive the development and deployment of FinTech solutions. You will work with product managers, engineering, UX, and business stakeholders to ensure timely and successful feature delivery from concept through launch and post-launch support.

The role requires strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and the FinTech sector, with 6–8 years of PM experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Master’s degree or relevant certifications (PMP, CSM, CSPO) are desirable.
• 6–8 years of project management experience in software development and IT projects.
• Proven experience in FinTech project delivery and SDLC with Agile/Scrum.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of FinTech product development projects from concept to launch.
• Define scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria with product owners and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including sprint planning and release management.
• Lead agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Identify risks and dependencies and implement mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including software engineers, QA, and designers.
• Ensure status reporting and effective communication to executives and stakeholders.
• Manage changes to scope, schedule, and costs using verification techniques.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and align with business goals.

• Ensure effective communication and status reporting to all stakeholders, including executive management.

Requirements
