Placements24 in Stellenbosch is seeking a reliable Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. You will process vendor invoices, ensure timely payments, and maintain strong vendor relationships to support daily financial operations.

This on-site role requires proficiency with accounting software and Excel, meticulous data entry, and strong organizational skills. You will assist with month-end close and keep vendor master files accurate, contributing to smooth financial workflows.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role.
• Solid understanding of accounts payable procedures.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices, ensuring proper authorization, coding, and entry into the accounting system.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare and schedule weekly or bi-weekly payments to vendors via EFT or other methods.
• Maintain accurate vendor master files, including tax information and payment terms.
• Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status and related issues.
• Assist with month-end closing procedures related to accounts payable.
