Job summary

Valatam is seeking an Accounting Associate for a fully remote role serving international clients. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in accounting or finance, with strong English/Spanish proficiency and meticulous data handling.

You will support reconciliations, AP/AR, payroll, budgeting, audits, and financial reporting in a confidential, organized environment. This position offers an hourly-rate-like monthly compensation, annual pay increments, client bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in accounting, finance, or related role.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Experience with reconciliations, AP/AR, invoicing, and financial records.
• Experience with payroll, budgeting, audits, and tax docs.
• Proficient spreadsheets and financial data handling.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and spreadsheets.
• Record daily transactions; support balance sheets and ledgers.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations; investigate discrepancies.
• Manage AP/AR; process invoices and follow-ups.
• Support payroll processes and payroll documentation.
• Analyze costs and assist with budgeting and tax tasks.
• Prepare financial reports for internal and client use.
• Assist audits and budgeting activities; ensure data confidentiality.
• Organize digital accounting files and documentation.
• Provide support across accounting and finance tasks as needed.
