Mama Mia Maracaibo is seeking a full-time Pizza Chef to join the on-site kitchen in Maracaibo. You will prepare and cook a variety of pizzas, follow established recipes, and maintain consistent quality and presentation during service.

Daily tasks include dough preparation, sauce and topping assembly, oven operation, portion control, and strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards. You will collaborate with the kitchen team to keep prep stations efficient and guests delighted.

Formación

• Experience in pizza-making or artisanal dishes.
• Strong hygiene and food safety knowledge.

Role Description

This full-time, on-site Pizza Chef role is based at Mama Mia in Maracaibo. The Pizza Chef prepares and cooks a variety of pizzas and related dishes, following established recipes and maintaining consistent quality and presentation. Daily responsibilities include dough preparation, sauce and topping assembly, oven operation, portion control, and adherence to food safety and hygiene standards. The role also involves coordinating with kitchen staff, managing prep stations, monitoring inventory of pizza ingredients, and supporting overall kitchen efficiency during service. The Pizza Chef contributes to a positive team environment and helps maintain the welcoming atmosphere that guests expect.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Food Preparation and Cooking, with experience in pizza-making or similar artisanal dishes.
• Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Hygiene practices and Food & Beverage standards, including safe food handling and cleanliness in the kitchen.
• Candidates should possess skills related to Sauces, including preparing, adjusting, and pairing sauces to complement pizzas and other menu items.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment, ovens, and tools, with the ability to follow recipes and portion guidelines accurately.
• Ability to work on-site in Maracaibo, stand for extended periods, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and reliability; prior experience in a restaurant or pizzeria is preferred.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
