Job summary

Cox Automotive in Rochester, NY is hiring for a part-time Vehicle Movement Associate to organize and move vehicles within a designated zone. You will rely on daily dashboards to decide placement, prioritize inventory, and ensure safe, efficient movement of vehicles.

You will label units, coordinate with crew leaders, and uphold safety and company values. The role emphasizes safety, adherence to policies, and the ability to stand and move across outdoor lots.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years in a related field, or an equivalent combination of degree/certification.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to drive vehicles with both manual and automatic transmissions.
• Basic mechanical knowledge (flat tires, low gas, jump-starts).

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain vehicle placement within the designated zone.
• Use Supervisor and Lot Ops dashboards to guide move decisions.
• Drive continuous safety and efficiency improvements in vehicle movement.
• Move and stage vehicles to optimize loads and destinations.
• Ensure safe operation of vehicles and engage service/towing as needed.
• Label vehicles and manage inventory movement across zones.
• Communicate inventory status to crew leaders and managers.
• Uphold Cox/Manheim values and company policies.
• Model safety behaviors and follow health procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned; may require overtime.
