Job summary

Cox Enterprises is seeking a dedicated vehicle move operator to organize and stage vehicles within designated zones, using dashboards to guide decisions and ensure safe, efficient movements. You will label and track inventory, coordinate with crew leaders, and model Cox/Manheim values while following all safety procedures.

The role requires standing and walking, lifting up to 15 pounds, and the ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions.

Qualifications

• Must have HS diploma/GED; higher education is acceptable.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission.
• Basic mechanical knowledge to identify issues.

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain vehicle placement within the designated zone or move area to standard.
• Use supervisor dashboards to make move decisions and stage assigned zone.
• Contribute to safety and efficiency improvements in vehicle movement.
• Move and stage vehicles safely to correct work destinations to avoid partial loads.
• Confirm vehicle operability; engage service and towing teams as needed.
• Label vehicles with sale and routing labels to track movements.
• Communicate inventory status to crew leaders and managers; set priorities.
• Model Cox/Manheim values and ensure respectful treatment of employees.
• Implement company policies on conduct; uphold safety commitments.
• Perform other duties; overtime may be required.
