Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Zero Waste Representative to promote source reduction, reuse, and recycling across our Los Angeles franchise zones. This field position provides technical guidance on program implementation and operations to a diverse customer base.

Key duties include conducting waste assessments, preparing service agreements, and delivering customized reporting. You will manage major accounts, drive recycling program goals, and coordinate with operations and sales teams to

Qualifications

• Experience leading sustainability initiatives in organizational settings.
• Proven ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders in formal and informal settings.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and conduct proactive customer calls and visits with accurate data entry.
• Perform initial waste assessments and data collection to set up service agreements.
• Provide customized reporting and maintain knowledge of services, pricing and offerings.
• Develop baseline goals for recycling programs and deliver training or presentations to clients.
• Implement Zero Waste Program in assigned franchise zone and manage major accounts.
• Identify diversion programs and ensure implementation of recommendations.
• Follow up visits to monitor program participation and assist non-compliant participants.
• Coordinate with Operations, Project, and Sales Managers to track progress and resolve issues.
• Engage with customers through trade shows and community events to raise Republic Services visibility.
