Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Zero Waste Representative to promote source reduction, reuse, and recycling across our Los Angeles franchise zones. You will provide technical support, conduct waste assessments, and drive program adoption with a diverse customer base.

The role focuses on proactive outreach, data collection, reporting, and collaboration with operations and sales teams to meet waste diversion goals and expand service offerings.

Qualifications

• Experience in sustainability initiatives.
• Experience communicating with diverse stakeholders in formal and informal settings.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and complete proactive customer calls and visits.
• Conduct initial waste assessments and collect data.
• Prepare Contract Service Agreements for customers’ signatures and setup.
• Provide customized reporting for customers.
• Implement the Zero Waste Program in the assigned franchise zone.
• Manage major and high-profile accounts in the franchise zone.
• Identify business-specific diversion programs and ensure implementation of recommendations.
• Regularly meet with Operations/Project/Sales managers to review progress and status.
