Job summary

The NBA seeks a true YouTube native to lead Channel Strategy & Programming, owning the content strategy across longform, Shorts, live, podcasts, and more. This leader translates NBA priorities into YouTube-native executions and uses data to drive programming decisions.

You will work with Content Publishing, Production, Finance, Legal, and YouTube, building franchises, optimizing thumbnails and SEO, shepherding creator partnerships, and staying ahead of platform trends to grow engagement and

Qualifications

10+ years of experience with YouTube platform and ecosystem.
Proven track record of growing YouTube content within media or sports channels.
Strong analytical skills to translate data into strategy.
Experience structuring creator partnerships or revenue-sharing programs.
Outstanding communication and collaboration with senior leadership.
Established network within the YouTube/Google ecosystem.
Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

Own and execute platform-native content strategy across YouTube formats.
Lead new content franchises to grow watch time and revenue.
Optimize thumbnails, titles, metadata, and hooks; run A/B testing.
Develop and own YouTube SEO strategy for titles, descriptions, tags, and metadata.
Recruit and manage NBA Playmakers and creator programs.
Analyze performance and build channel health reports.
