Job summary

The City and County of Broomfield is seeking a full-time Recreation Coordinator for Youth & Teen programs. You will plan, coordinate, and supervise a range of youth activities, ensuring safe and engaging experiences for participants.

The role includes collaboration with schools, community groups, and staff, plus oversight of program costs and compliance with licensing rules. On-site work schedule is typically Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with potential driving duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Two years of recreation programming experience, preferably with youth and teen programs.
• Must hold School Age Director Certified and Large Center Certified.
• Bachelor's degree in parks, recreation, sports management or closely related field; preference for youth/teen focus.

Responsibilities

• Develops, coordinates, schedules, implements, supervises and evaluates a variety of recreational programs, activities, events, and facilities.
• Instruct designated recreation classes and prepare materials.
• Ensure safety and enforce program and facility rules.
• Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating and supervising staff.
• Evaluate service costs and identify improvements for efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Supervise opening/closing of recreation facilities and enforce rules.
