Job summary

City of Seattle — Seattle Parks and Recreation seeks a dynamic Teen and Youth Development Manager to lead the division’s Teen & Youth Development Unit, guiding a diverse workforce and coordinating across six program areas.

You will supervise 4+ direct reports, build partnerships with community organizations, and advance equity while ensuring high-quality teen programs and safety for staff and participants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of youth development experience.
• Experience managing recreation programs, facilities, staff, budgets and resources.
• Commitment to equity, diversity and inclusive outcomes in practice.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, partners and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all activities and operations of the Teen & Youth Development Unit.
• Supervise 4+ direct reports and coordinate with six Section Managers.
• Develop and implement program goals, best practices and partnerships.
• Lead training, performance measures and program evaluations.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to advance equity and outcomes.
• Maintain healthy relationships with unit managers to foster collaboration and execution.
