Job summary

YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles is seeking a dynamic Teens, Youth & Family Director to lead and grow teen, youth, and family programs. You will oversee operations, staffing, budgeting, and program quality while ensuring safe, inclusive experiences aligned with YMCA standards.

Responsibilities include developing annual plans, collaborating with multiple departments, and building community partnerships to expand engagement and revenue opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21 years.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Three+ years in youth development or related programs; two+ years in supervision.
• Experience budgeting, program development, staff supervision, and community partnerships.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and youth development.
• YMCA Team Leader Certification preferred; CPR/First Aid/AED or willingness to obtain within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily operations and growth of Teen, Youth, and Family programs.
• Develop annual operating plans to meet enrollment, retention, participation, and revenue goals.
• Ensure programs are safe, welcoming, inclusive, child-centered, and asset-based.
• Foster staff development through coaching, meetings, and trainings.
• Collaborate with Membership, Sports, Child Care, Camp, and Healthy Living departments for seamless experiences.
• Monitor safety, quality, and staffing; visit program sites regularly.
