Job summary

ViaQuest Residential Services is seeking dedicated DSPs for part-time roles across all shifts in Ohio. The objective is to support individuals with developmental disabilities in residential facilities and homes, promoting independence and safety.

Ideal candidates have experience with youth and high-behavior clients, a HS diploma or GED, and a reliable vehicle. Training is provided, with benefits for full-time staff and generous scheduling options.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Personal, reliable vehicle to transport individuals.
• Valid OH driver's license and car insurance.
• Motor Vehicle Record must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing related physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities to foster independence, choice and empowerment while ensuring health and safety.
• Supervise, teach and assist individuals in all aspects of daily life.
• Complete household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean living environment.
• Provide personal care assistance and companion care.

At ViaQuest Residential Services our DSPs provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in intermediate care facilities and their homes.

• Individuals who have experience working with youth, and comfortable with working alongside clients with possible high behaviors.
