Job summary

ViaQuest, Inc. is seeking a Youth Support Specialist (DSP) in Middleburg Heights, OH. The role focuses on direct care and support for individuals with developmental disabilities in home settings, with full training provided.

Hourly pay ranges from $18.25 to $19.25, and a comprehensive benefits package is available for full‑time staff, including medical, vision, dental, life insurance and a 401k, plus PTO and holiday pay. Training and orientation are paid, and mileage reimbursement is offered.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation and valid Ohio driver's license.
• Experience in developmental disability support is a plus.

Responsibilities

At ViaQuest ICFs, our DSPs provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes. Training for this position is provided in its entirety!

Responsibilities may include:

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities – our goal is to foster increased independence, choice and empowerment while assuring that their health and safety needs are being met at all times.
• Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of his/her life.
• Completing various household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Providing personal care assistance.
• Companion care / Caregiving

Requirements for this position include:

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation
• Valid Ohio driver's license and car insurance.
• Motor Vehicle Record Must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria
• Can push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and can climb, balance, kneel and crouch.
• Prefer 1 year of DSP experience.
