Job summary

ViaQuest Residential Services in Middleburg Heights, OH is seeking a Youth Support Specialist (DSP) to provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes. Training for this position is provided in its entirety, including CPR and First Aid.

On-site role with a variety of schedules and opportunities for advancement. The DSP will supervise and assist individuals in daily living activities, help with meal preparation, and maintain a clean and safe living

Qualifications

• Requires 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Reliable transportation and a valid Ohio drivers license with car insurance.
• Must meet ViaQuests Authorized Driver Criteria (MVR).
• Ability to push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs and perform physical activities.
• Prefer 1 year of DSP experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities to promote independence, choice and empowerment while ensuring health and safety.
• Supervise, teach, and assist individuals in all aspects of daily living.
• Complete household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean, safe living environment.
