Job summary

ViaQuest Residential Services is hiring Behavioral Support Specialist (DSP) Direct Support in Stow, OH. Part-time shifts available with pay between $17.30 and $18.30 per hour. No experience required; training is provided in full to start your healthcare career.

DSPs deliver direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes, promoting independence, safety and well-being. Responsibilities include supervision, routine tasks, and creating a clean, safe living

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Personal, reliable vehicle to transport individuals served.
• Valid OH driver's license and car insurance.
• Motor Vehicle Record must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria.
• Able to push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and able to climb, balance, kneel and crouch.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities – our goal is to foster increased independence, choice and empowerment while assuring that their health and safety needs are being met at all times.
• Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of his/her life.
• Completing various household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
