City of Manteca Recreation Department is seeking a part-time Recreation Leader to guide and supervise activities at parks, after-school programs, day camps, and the senior center. You will assist coordinators, volunteers, and participants, helping plan and run engaging programs.

The role requires flexible evenings, weekends, and shift work, strong communication, and the ability to work with a diverse team. Candidates must be at least 16, have a valid work permit if under 18, and pass fingerprint

Formación

• Any combination equivalent to sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above.

Responsabilidades

• Becomes familiar with rules and regulations of activities and events and enforces them.
• Displays leadership, responsibility, and professionalism during and after work hours.
• Communicates strongly with patrons, students, other staff members, and supervisors.
• Follows work procedures and schedules.
• Issues written and oral instructions to participants.
• Work with a workforce of 5-50 staff members.
• Prepares attendance and accident reports.
• Work weekdays, weekends and evenings.
• Perform a variety of duties such as answering phone, leading recreation activities, crafts for all ages.
• Collect fees and assist setup for classes and events.
• Respond to public inquiries about programs.
