Job summary

City of Pinole is seeking a Recreation Leader to supervise youth, teens and seniors in our community programs. The role supports children, teens and seniors through sports, arts, crafts, camps and special events.

Flexibility is required with afternoons, evenings and weekends. Training is provided and successful applicants gain leadership experience and a chance to contribute to a vibrant City recreation program.

Qualifications

• Must have a strong desire and aptitude for working with all age groups from youth, teenagers and seniors.
• Ability to plan and implement activities appropriate to the City's Recreation Center environment.
• Valid California driver's license and CPR/First Aid verifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, organize and lead recreational programs and activities including games, sports, arts and crafts, excursions and special events.
• Oversee programs at the Pinole Youth Center and Pinole Tiny Tots Center for children, youth, teens and seniors.
• Help manage diverse groups and communicate effectively with parents, school officials, and community groups.
• Monitor and enforce City rules and safety at facilities and during outings.
• Provide strong leadership and act as a positive role model for all participants.
