Job summary

The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking a Youth Sports Instructor to lead on-site youth sports programming. You will run warmups, activities, and games, teaching age-appropriate skills according to YMCA curricula and ensuring a safe, engaging environment for members and participants.

Ideal candidates bring energy and enthusiasm to teach sports like basketball, soccer, and football, with availability mornings, evenings, or weekends to fit program schedules.

Qualifications

• Minimum 16 years of age.
• Excellent knowledge of instructing in youth sports (basketball, soccer, football, and more).
• Ability to perform activities requiring concentration and attention.
• Mornings, nights, and/or weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Run on-site instruction for youth sports programming including stretch & warmup, activities, & games for respective sport.
• Teach age-appropriate skills following YMCA curriculum for respective sport.
• Provide a safe & clean environment that allows members and participants to learn YMCA programs.
• Lead classes with positivity & enthusiasm.
• Provide excellent service to members and participants.
