The YMCA of Greater Seattle operates the South King County Youth Shelter, a 24/7 group home for youth 12-17. This role supports youths in education, housing, health, and life skills while linking them to services to promote stability and growth.

Based in Auburn, this on-site, part-time position emphasizes relationship-building, individualized planning, and collaboration with community partners to help youth achieve goals and transition to safe housing.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year of experience working with teens or young adults in related fields.
• 21 years of age or older is required.
• Ability to teach independence skills for diverse learners.
• Strong youth engagement and relationship-building skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Basic computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Must have First Aid and CPR certification.
• Eligible to transport clients with valid insurance.

Responsabilidades

• Provide education and career development support for youth.
• Build relationships with participants to deliver quality services.
• Develop individualized, strengths-based service plans.
• Understand contract terms to meet program outcomes.
• Maintain accurate participant notes and documentation.
• Provide direct services and referrals focusing on under-served South King County.
• Collaborate with YMCA staff and partners to plan activities.
• Support housing, education, employment, health, and life skills outcomes.
