Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Seattle's Y Social Impact Center seeks staff to support low-income youth and young adults facing foster care, homelessness, and education barriers. You will provide education, job readiness, housing, and referral services while fostering a welcoming, youth-centered environment at YMCA programs across King County and nearby counties.

This on-call role emphasizes weekend and overnight shifts; candidates must be able to work in Seattle and/or Tacoma housing sites and coordinate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work or related field; Masters preferred.
• Experience with teens/young adults in employment, foster care, housing, education, or homelessness.
• Ability to teach independence skills for diverse learning styles.
• Strong youth engagement and relationship-building skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills and MS Office.
• Ability to transport self to community locations; travel as needed.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Current HIV blood-borne pathogens training.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized services in education, employment, housing, or related fields and support participants in achieving goals.
• Develop individualized, strengths-based, youth-driven service plans.
• Ensure program outcomes by understanding contract/grant terms.
• Maintain a resource library and up-to-date participant records.
• Teach life skills and job readiness individually or in groups.
• Collaborate with YMCA staff and community partners to plan activities.
• Build relationships with funding liaisons and other providers.
• Support participant success in housing, education, employment and well-being.
