Job summary
State of Missouri, Division of Youth Services in Kansas City, MO, seeks a Supervisor to lead treatment teams and oversee day treatment and residential services for youth. You will supervise staff, implement treatment plans, ensure safety, and coordinate care with court and community partners.
The role requires at least one year of youth services experience, a valid driver’s license, and a related degree or coursework. Competitive benefits and shifts include evening/night options.
Qualifications
- One or more years of experience in youth services or related treatment for juveniles.
- High school diploma or high school equivalency; or a Bachelor's degree with related coursework.
- Valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Direct supervision of Youth Services Workers and supervise treatment teams.
- Lead weekly youth group meetings and participate in team and leadership meetings.
- Guide group interactions and implement effective treatment techniques.
- Oversee outdoor program activities and evaluate youth skills.
- Communicate progress to court and community staff; prepare reports.
- Provide Awareness Supervision for youth safety and management.
- Respond to youth medical emergencies, including CPR.
- Maintain security and participate in restraints during emergencies.
- Coordinate shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime; ensure attendance.
- Transport and escort youth as needed.
- Perform other assigned tasks.
