Job summary

The State of Missouri is seeking staff to support youth in day treatment and residential programs. You will help create a safe, therapeutic environment, facilitate treatment activities, and monitor youth behavior with a focus on respectful and professional conduct.

Responsibilities include supervision, security, risk intervention, report writing, medication dispensing, and coordination with the care team. A valid driver's license is required and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Empathetic, nonjudgmental and respectful in interactions with youth and staff.
• Ability to communicate clearly, honestly and openly with youth, families and coworkers.
• Possess a valid driver's license and meet agency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide awareness supervision to youth and be responsible for their conduct, care and therapy.
• Monitor activity, behavior, and movement of youth in residential/day treatment settings.
• Maintain security, intervene when needed, and participate in physical restraints during emergencies.
• Supervise youth during work activities, recreation and religious activities and inspect health and safety hazards.
• Assist youth with personal issues and refer to group sessions as appropriate.
• Implement and monitor treatment plans for individuals and groups.
• Maintain professional boundaries and interact positively with youth, families, staff, and the public.
• Prepare reports on each youth's adjustment and progress; maintain youth records.
• Dispense medications to youth and respond to medical emergencies including CPR.
• Transport and escort youth in daily and emergency situations.
• Work various shifts and attend mandatory meetings; log hours and submit timesheets.
• May assist in the educational program and perform other assigned tasks.
