Job summary

State of Colorado – Division of Youth Services is seeking a supervisory professional to oversee direct care Youth Services Security Officers in a secure facility. You will supervise staff, coordinate admissions/releases, and ensure trauma-responsive care aligned with sanctuary principles.

Responsibilities include scheduling, programming oversight, and safety/compliance with CDHS/DYS policies, while leading coaching and development of staff within the facility.

Qualifications

• Two years professional corrections-related experience working in a correctional or trauma-informed facility.
• Substitutions allowed with additional education on a year-for-year basis.
• POST Certified Officer or Military Law Enforcement experience is noted as acceptable prior experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee scheduling of staff and movement of youth.
• Ensure compliance with DYS policies and trauma-responsive practices (Sanctuary Model).
• Provide supervision and coaching to direct care staff and oversee FTO program.
• Lead safety, security, programming, and daily living activities for youth in a secure setting.
