Job summary

Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) Division of Youth Services seeks a Supervising Youth Services Security Officer to oversee direct care staff and ensure safe, trauma-informed operations within a juvenile facility.

The role emphasizes supervision, scheduling, and program delivery while upholding Sanctuary Model and DYS policies in partnership with leadership and frontline teams.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years professional corrections-related experience in a correctional or trauma-informed facility.
• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Substitution with higher education allowed on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and provide supervision for direct care Youth Services Security Officers.
• Schedule staff, manage admissions/releases, and coordinate daily programming.
• Model and ensure compliance with DYS policies and Sanctuary Model.
