Job summary

The State of Colorado is seeking candidates for a direct care/essential role in Youth Services at Lookout Mountain, Golden, CO. You will supervise youth in a secure facility, implement behavior programs, document activities, and participate in extensive training and development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to intervene physically with assaultive youth.
• 21 years of age or older; valid Colorado driver’s license.
• Background checks and successful completion of training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care, safety, security and supervision of adjudicated/pre‑adjudicated youth.
• Implement and follow the Youth Center’s behavioral management program.
• Document observations and required information in logs and records systems.
• Complete DYS pre‑service training and orientation; participate in ongoing training.
• Maintain a healthy, positive organizational culture and comply with policies.
