Job summary

Agape Child & Family Services, Inc. in Memphis, TN, seeks a Retention Specialist to provide professional follow-up and post-exit support for OSY participants exiting WIOA-funded programs.

The goal is to promote sustained employment, further education, or apprenticeship placement for 12 months after exit. The role partners with employers, educators, and community resources to remove barriers, administer incentives, and document outcomes while ensuring compliance with WIOA regulations and PQI

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree in social services, human services, business administration or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Minimum of one year of experience in customer service, administrative data entry, or providing support services to youth populations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Basic budgeting understanding to assist youth with incentives.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with case management, data, or client information systems.
• Exceptional organizational skills and time management to meet reporting deadlines and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Proactive follow-up: conduct regular contacts with former participants via text, phone, or letter to monitor progress during a full year post-exit.
• Re-engagement: help unemployed former participants re-enter job search activities.
• Barrier removal: identify ongoing barriers and provide referrals for transportation, childcare, housing, or healthcare.
• Supportive service administration: assess needs and process requests for supportive services including vouchers, uniforms, and work tools.
• Incentive management: manage distribution of incentive gift cards for milestones and track progress toward incentives.
• Data integrity: maintain case notes and enter post-program outcomes into VOS and other systems; ensure compliance with regulations.
