Rising Ground, Inc. in The Bronx, NY seeks an Assistant Residence Manager to lead daily program development, supervise staff, and coordinate youth services while ensuring thorough documentation and cross-shift communication.

The role supports treatment planning and youth development within a residential setting. The successful candidate will oversee scheduling, medical/mental health appointments, training, and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth and families in residential settings.
• Knowledge of Child Welfare & Juvenile Justice.
• Written & Verbal Communication Skill.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all staff training is up to date with ACS/Rising Ground requirements.
• Complete weekly staff schedules to support program daily needs and transports.
• Oversee youth medical and mental health appointments, including therapy sessions and med management.
• Conduct ongoing documented supervision with staff and co-facilitate weekly staff meetings with Residence Manager.
• In the absence of the Residence Manager, the Assistant Manager will assume the leadership role.
• Conduct site inspections and submit work orders for repairs; review logs and incident reports.
• Update MAR when medications change and communicate with all parties as needed.
• Assist with safety drills and PREA standards; pursue required trainings.
• Support JYF Core training and facilitate groups as needed.
