Job summary

The Ohio Department of Youth Services in Massillon, OH seeks a Case Manager (Correctional Program Specialist) to join the Indian River JCF unit management team. You will develop and implement habilitative programming, coordinate with families, courts, and staff, and participate in IDT meetings to support youth progress.

The ideal candidate has 18 months of experience in social or behavioral science or criminal justice or human services, plus at least 6 months in related activities such as case

Qualifications

• 18 months of experience in social or behavioral science or criminal justice or human services.
• 6 months of experience in report writing, record keeping, interviewing, counseling or contact with social service agencies.
• Alternative: associate or undergraduate core program in relevant fields with related experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver habilitative programming, case planning and reentry planning.
• Liaise with family, community, and internal staff; provide orientation materials.
• Represent habilitative programming on IDT; coordinate and facilitate meetings and gather documentation.
• Maintain relationships with facilities and support services; notify parents/guardians of progress and emergencies.
• Ensure documentation meets federal/state/local agency requirements and unit plans.
