Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in area of assignment from an accredited college or university.
• OR Vocational/Technical degree in area of assignment from accredited college AND One year of experience in the area of assignment.
• OR One year of experience required at the lower level Practical Instructor 1 (EDT010) or position equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Instructs youth in an evidence-based recreation program under general supervision.
• Directs youth through a structured recreation and leisure program with an organized schedule.
• Adapts instructional methods to meet varied needs and interests of youth.
• Oversees part-time recreation workers and coordinates staff assignments.
• Maintains daily service delivery records and inventories of supplies.
• Participates in staff meetings and training to support recreation services.
