Job summary

Equus Workforce Solutions is hiring a Career Navigator Out of School Youth - Re-Entry to support youth re-entry into employment and self-sufficiency. You will manage a caseload, coordinate trainings, and provide job-readiness activities to help participants reach their career goals.

You will work closely with the Business Services team, prepare plans, and track progress while guiding participants through various employment opportunities and community resources.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related field or two years of related work experience; or equivalent education/experience.
• High school diploma with three years of related experience may be considered.
• Strong facilitation and public speaking abilities are essential.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to lead learning processes and relate to diverse populations.
• Outstanding customer service and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Familiarity with community resources and local industries is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; MS Word and Excel experience required.
• Bilingual skills are a plus; valid driver's license required.
• Travel up to 20% of the time within business hours; mileage reimbursement available.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management focusing on Out of School Youth re-entry into employment.
• Prepare, organize, and maintain information in databases reflecting participant history.
• Manage ongoing caseload and assist job seekers in retaining employment based on skills and interests.
• Create and update career plans and goals for participants.
• Schedule and conduct workshops, webinars, and job readiness activities.
• Coordinate with Business Services on online learning and progress tracking.
• Administer Pre/Post-test assessments and conduct skills assessments.
• Deliver job coaching and connect participants with mentors and support services as needed.
• Ensure preparation for all training activities and tailor services based on employer feedback.
• Collaborate with area businesses and community organizations to expand opportunities.
• Develop rapport with participants to explore career options and document learning.
