Job summary

Equus Workforce Solutions seeks a dedicated professional to provide employment services, life skills, and job readiness support to youth ages 16-24. You will document participant progress, assess needs, and help craft individualized goals while collaborating with community partners.

The role requires strong communication, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, community-based setting. Flexibility for extended hours and travel to events is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social services or related field and two years working with a targeted population.
• Ability to develop trust and rapport with a diverse population while maintaining professionalism.
• Excellent, inclusive written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to work occasional flexible or extended hours, including weekends in office/community settings and at off-site events.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of all forms and information.
• Demonstrated understanding of youth-adult partnerships.
• Strong self-motivation: meet deadlines and balance multiple priorities.
• Driver's license in good standing and automobile insurance required for driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide employment services and support (life skills, job readiness, job search) to young adults (16-24).
• Prepare and maintain participant documentation ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Assess participant needs to create individualized education and employment goals.
• Develop relationships with participants and community through effective communication.
• Ensure timely communications of opportunities; coach to support goals, job attainment and retention.
• Maintain familiarity with resources for diverse demographics and needs.
• Assist in program orientation, life skills, and front desk coverage.
• Engage in team meetings and trainings to promote development and metrics achievement.
• Initiate community outreach to increase visibility and service cohesion with other organizations.
• Maintain scheduled contact with participants in various locations to assess job retention/advancement.
