Job summary

The Seattle YMCA seeks a Youth Program Supervisor to oversee development and family programs, including youth sports, recreation, and Teen/Kids activities. You will supervise staff and volunteers, hire/train, and maintain staff-to-child ratios while building strong relationships with families and local partners.

Hours are Saturday through Wednesday; the role includes a comprehensive benefits package and access to YMCA facilities. Seattle Y is committed to equity and community wellbeing.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Three or more years of experience delivering programming in child care, youth sports, wellness, recreation, or camp.
• One year or more of supervisory experience.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to solve problems and resolve conflicts.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Knowledge of standard office equipment.
• Current state approved first-aid certification and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervises delivery of activities for assigned program areas.
• Hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates staff and volunteers; leads staff meetings/training.
• Engages with parents/guardians to share information about child experience and upcoming programs.
• Maintains records per YMCA standards (attendance, registrations, accident reports).
• Recruits new enrollments and assists with budget monitoring.
• Ensures site supplies are maintained and purchased as needed.
