Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Seattle is hiring a Program Supervisor for our Year Round Youth Development Programs at Lakeland Hills Elementary in Auburn, WA. This full-time onsite role leads before/after school and summer day camp staff, ensuring high-quality, developmentally appropriate activities and a safe, engaging environment for children.

You will hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff, maintain ratios, and build strong relationships with families and school partners.

Qualifications

• Three years or more of experience working with children, camps, childcare, tutoring or nannying.
• One year or more of supervisory experience.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Have completed 30 credits of 100-level or above college-level coursework.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Ability to model and demonstrate Y values; caring, respect, responsibility and honesty.
• Experience planning and implementing group activities.
• We require pre-employment TB tests and MMR vaccination.

Responsibilities

• Ensures planning and implementation of culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate activities within the curriculum.
• Hires, trains, supervises and evaluates child care site staff/volunteers.
• Communicates with parents/guardians including newsletters and conferences.
• Follows YMCA policies, emergency procedures and safety guidelines.
• Maintains relationships with families, school personnel and community.
• Maintains records and prepares reports as required.
• May supervise a group of children to ensure health and safety.
