Job summary

The Youth Development Professional will be hands-on with the youth to implement curriculum and programming on a day-to-day basis, ensuring supervision and safety of all program participants. This role will follow DHS Chapter 3270 Regulations and BGCA Safety requirements.

It supports a variety of youth programs—STEAM, mentoring, athletics, literacy and recreation—while collaborating with volunteers and staff to create a fun, inclusive clubhouse experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2500 hours of experience working with children.
• Interest in youth programs including technology, art, sports, STEM, mentoring and recreation.
• Proficient in Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Create and support meaningful lesson plans and activities for all youth served.
• Implement educational programming including STEAM, mentoring, athletics, literacy and activities.
• Ensure the safety of all program participants.
• Promote and stimulate membership in the Clubhouse through programs, services, and outreach activities.
• Observe and report maintenance and safety concerns to Clubhouse director.
