Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver is hiring a Youth Development Professional to supervise and implement activities in Athletics, Cultural Arts, Education, STEM or Teen programs. You will support all program areas during your shift and help create a safe, inclusive club culture for members and families.

The role emphasizes positive youth development, trauma-informed practices, mentorship, and strong relationships with youth, with a focus on high-quality programming and safe environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum age required by policy and youth-supervision rules.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Experience working with children and/or teens.
• Ability to supervise groups and maintain active supervision.
• Ability to work with different age groups and program areas.
• Ability to follow written schedules, safety procedures, and onsite directions.

Responsibilities

• Implement engaging program offerings aligned with positive youth development and trauma-informed practices.
• Submit programming supply needs to ensure materials are available before programs.
• Support club vision for a youth-centered, safe and inclusive environment.
• Foster mentorship and positive relationships with club members.
• Participate in required training and professional development.
• Maintain a clean and safe program space and assist with front desk tasks as needed.
• Notify leadership of safety or security concerns and assist with safety protocols.
