YMCA of Delaware is looking for a School Age Site Assistant to help supervise children and run daily activities at our center. The role includes providing nourishment and social support, guiding children through routines, and implementing positive behavior strategies.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and meet Delaware education requirements.
• Criminal history and background checks as required by the state.
• Proficient active listening and compassion for young children.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children and activities, ensuring safety and developmentally appropriate care.
• Provide daily care including feeding and supporting social/emotional needs.
• Engage children in classroom activities, meals, transitions and movement.
• Implement positive behavior management techniques.
• Plan and participate in age-appropriate activities to support learning.
