Job summary

Buckner International, through its Family Hope Center Program in Longview, TX, seeks a Child and Youth Coordinator to empower youth, build resilience, and coordinate on-site and community services. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required.
• Minimum two years of related experience.
• Minimum one year in community-based youth/children programs.
• Willingness to obtain CPR, First Aid and activity training.
• Proficiency with community resources and service providers.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive.

Responsibilities

• Discuss youth needs with Family Coach and connect resources via local agencies and volunteers.
• Assist youth access on-site programs and community services with eligibility guidance.
• Coordinate on-site and off-site programs and improve staff communication among sponsors.
• Support leadership development and program enrollments for children and youth.
• Build relationships with institutions and social service groups for program development.
• Identify needs, research programs, and recruit suitable local offerings.
• Coordinate events such as sports camps, youth leadership activities, and camps.
• Maintain a master calendar of volunteer and campus activities for youth.
