Job summary

Buckner Children and Family Services in Longview, TX, seeks a Child and Youth Coordinator for the Family Hope Center Program. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required.
• Minimum two years prior related experience required.
• Minimum one-year prior related experience providing community based services, youth and children programs.
• Requires willingness to take CPR, First Aid and specialized activity training.
• Requires proficient knowledge of and/or work experience using youth and children community resources.
• Requires understanding of applicable regulatory standards governing programs and services.
• Requires valid driver’s license and ability to drive; 21+ years old to drive for Buckner.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and walk/stand/sit for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Discuss needs of children and youth with Family Coach and connect families with empowerment resources.
• Assist youth and children in accessing on-site programs and referrals identified in the community.
• Develop and manage a system to coordinate on-site and off-site programs and improve communication among sponsors.
• Support leadership and development opportunities for children and youth and assist with enrollments.
• Develop relationships with educational, social service, and community organizations to guide program development.
• Coordinate regular events such as sports camps, youth leadership activities, and Vacation Bible Schools.
