Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington is seeking a dedicated staff member to support activities within a youth program area, including Education, Social Recreation, Arts & Crafts, and Physical Education. You will create a safe, engaging environment and mentor members aged 6-18, promoting healthy development and positive behavior.

Responsibilities include program administration, reporting, and collaboration with staff and volunteers.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED is required.
Experience working with children is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
Valid Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities

Create a SAFE environment for youth development outcomes.
Promote program participation and ensure the five key elements of positive youth development occur daily: Fun, Supportive Relationships, Safe and Positive Environment, and Recognition.
Provide guidance and act as a role model for conduct, safety and development of members.
Maintain facilities and equipment to ensure a productive and clean work environment, reporting major issues to supervisor.
Maintain close professional contact with staff and volunteers to communicate on Club operations and member needs.
Participate in weekly branch staff meetings.
Assist in new member registration and orientation.
