Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington in Falls Church, VA seeks an energetic youth program assistant to support activities in Education, Social Recreation, Arts & Crafts, and Physical Education.

You will implement programs for ages 6-18, ensure safety, motivate youth, and maintain facilities, with guidance from the Branch Director/Program Director. CPR/First Aid certifications required; strong teamwork and communication skills preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with children.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Create a SAFE environment that facilitates Youth Development Outcomes.
• Promote program participation and ensure the five key youth-development elements daily.
• Safely manage the health and safety of club members at all times.
• Provide guidance and act as a role model/mentor for members.
• Maintain facilities and equipment; report major issues to supervisor.
• Maintain professional contact with staff, volunteers, and supervisors about operations.
