Job summary

The Livermore Area Recreation and Park District (LARPD) is seeking a part-time Recreation Leader II to lead youth programs, activities, and events in Livermore, CA. Responsibilities include preparing spaces, supervising participants and staff, maintaining attendance records and collecting fees, and assisting with district events.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is desirable.
• One year of relevant recreation program support experience.
• Applicants must be at least 16 at time of employment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and monitor recreational program activities in assigned areas.
• Assist in operation of camps or large programs; provide instruction.
• Enforce safety policies and supervise participants.
• Maintain records of participation and collect fees.
• Prepare facilities for scheduled activities and events.
• May supervise lower-level staff and volunteers.
• May operate a District vehicle for transport of materials and equipment.
